2004 Civic Hybrid with 122,000 miles. White gold with tan cloth interior. Manual transmission. Standard features. Brand new tires. Always serviced. Here's the deal and the reason I have priced it so low....due to the mileage and normal wear-and-tear the IMA hybrid battery is wearing out. The cost to replace it is about $2500. From what the two dealerships/mechanics that I have had it at tell me I understand that it will continue to drive fine by pulling off the regular car battery. The problem is that it won't be getting all the Hybrid benefits and certain things that run off the electric system will not work as efficiently. The car runs great right now. I'm actually getting as good or even better mileage than ever, averaging about 43-45 mpg up from 40-43 mpg. I've been told this is simply because of the efficiency of Civics in general, and being a manual it's even better. There are very minor scratches, etc on the exterior and the interior is in very good shape. There's a crack in the windshield - that's the nature of driving in CO, and the passenger side mirror is cracked from being bumped in the ski resort parking lot. I bought a new car for threefold reasons, I now live in the mountains, I have two 90 lb dogs and we're hoping to start a family soon. I've listed it at $5000 which is KBB and Edmunds value in it's condition. Once the battery is replaced the value will go up to $7500-8500. Also, the photos were taken on different days (sunny vs. rainy) which explains the color variations of the interior. We will be traveling along I-80 from Colorado to Iowa for the holidays and could work out meeting up along the way to deliver the car if the buyer is along the I-80 corridor.
