It started life as a 1942 Chevrolet Truck, now given a new lease on life as a RAT ROD. These vehicles have become very popular in the classic vehicle marketplace. This particular vehicle has proven to be very reliable. Recently the owner drove it to a car show in Northern Arizona... a 250 mile round trip with an outside temperature of 113 deg. F. No issues, ran cool all day long thanks to the custom aluminum radiator. The 350ci V8, has a nice thumping cam. The carburetor is a Holley 950cfm Double Pumper a top an aluminum intake manifold. The '42 body sits on a custom and professionally built boxed frame. Power Disc Brakes have been added for safety. An estimated $2,500 was recently invested into Speedway Wheels and Coker / Firestone Nostalgia Drag tires - Bigs and Littles. Very cool! Many custom touches including the Dos Equis tap shift handle (The Most Interesting Man approves!!!) and the Hula Girl and Ahooga horn are included! Interior upholstery was redone. Equus gauge package added. This is a vehicle that provides a lot of fun and a lot of looks on the cheap! Any time you can get this much fun out of a classic car for under $10k, you have to jump at the chance to own it!
