Compared to other 1500 models the 454SS was the lightest iteration of that model, a two-wheel drive, short box, single cab with beefier front sway bars, Bilstein shocks, and quicker steering. At the time of its release in 1990, the 454SS pickup truck had more horsepower and torque than other popular car models at the time, such as the IROC-Z and corvette ZR1. This chevy 1500 was only produced for four years, which makes this mint condition, low milage example extremely desirable.
