By the mid 1950s, substantial post war styling changes were taking place in the automobile industry and Chevrolet was striving to take the lead to satisfy increased customer demands. In 1955, public reaction to the redesigned full sized Chevrolet was extremely well received with sales exceeding 1,700,000 units. The newly introduced 265ci V8 engine was a powerhouse performer which ultimately dethroned the Hudson Hornet at Daytona international speedway as the go to best performing vehicle. The 1955 thru 1957 Chevrolet now affectionately referred to as the tri five era, to date is arguably the most popular classic design produced by Chevrolet. By 1957, Subtle vertical finned rear quarter panels became a styling statement that was positively received by the buying public and the redesigned 283ci V8 engine equipped with various horsepower options made the full sized Chevrolet a smashing success. We are very pleased to bring you this highly optioned 1957 Bel Air two door hardtop which has been fully restored and is in perfect condition. A meticulous body off rotisserie restoration was completed in Rochester Minnesota on this beautiful Bel Air and it presents itself in show condition. All the exterior chrome has been replated or restored and the factory Onyx black paint has been painstakingly recreated on a stunningly perfect body which is complemented by the factory reproduced black and silver interior. Additionally, this 1957 Bel Air is so highly optioned, the factory pricing of its total options exceeds 50 percent of the vehicles base price.
