Up for sale is a fully optioned production year 1980 Porsche 924s Turbo (or 931) with the additional factory option M471 "S" Sport Group Package. Factory original options include: limited-slip differential, leather upholstery, air conditioning, power windows, power mirrors, fog lights, headlight washers, rear window wiper, factory alarm system, and "G31" five-speed manual w/ dogleg first gear. The additional M471 "S" package includes: four-wheel internally ventilated disc brakes on five-bolt hubs, mounting forged 16 x 6-inch 928-style alloys, upgraded springs and shocks, front and rear anti-roll bars and a different steering ratio complete with a leather-wrapped 911SC steering wheel.The vehicle starts, idles, and runs out nicely free from smoke, while the steering is tight and braking is straight and responsive. No issues of overheating; running full synthetic Mobil 1 15w-50 in the front, synthetic in the rear, and steady oil pressure. A preventative/seasonal maintenance tune-up was completed recently prior to summer. Neither issues of corrosive rust nor rot are evident on the body or frame with factory undercoating complete and intact. The subtle cosmetic changes completed will be quickly identified by those who know this model. However, all changes were merely cosmetic insuring the integrity of the vehicle not be compromised, and can quickly and easily be reversed to factory stock if desired. Among others, I chose to swap the carpet and "racquet handle" shifter on the console with a leather pad and reconfigured shifter, complete w/ custom bushings. Gear shifts are crisp, and since I do not speed shift or abuse any of my vehicles, I have not had problems with 1st and 2nd gear grinds. The windshield and all glass is clear with no cracks/stars and the matching plus size 225 50R16 tire set shows 70+% tread life remaining. Headlight washers and fog lights have been removed, but system and wiring is still in place. Gauges, dials, warning lights and exterior lights all function properly (including the rear wiper and factory alarm) .You will find very few 931's currently enjoying the road, and even fewer still in this condition with the full list of factory options. This vehicle is fun to drive and deserves to be driven more, and responds favorably the more often it does.
